How to Apply
Thank you for your interest in POLAHS! We understand that selecting a high school is a thoughtful decision. We are excited to help you discover our school community. You will find all the information you need here, including how to visit the school; apply as an incoming freshman or transfer student; important dates and deadlines; and lottery and wait-list procedures.
All prospective 9th grade students must complete a Lottery Form during the application period (January - February) to be eligible for admission. No other information will be requested until students are officially accepted. Prospective students will receive their lottery number at the time the Lottery Form is submitted.
A lottery may be conducted if the number of completed Lottery Forms received exceeds the number of openings available. Applicants not accepted at the time of the lottery will be placed on a wait-list according to their assigned placement in the lottery and admitted pending openings.
POLAHS admits transfer students based on availability each year through a lottery system. Students interested in transferring to POLAHS must complete a Lottery Form in order to enter the transfer student lottery for their specific grade level. The purpose of the transfer lottery is to make up the order of the wait-list, which we will then use to fill spots once available. Lottery application forms will be accepted throughout the school year and will be added to the wait list.

- Incoming Freshman Lottery Form Available: January 17, 2017
- Incoming Freshman Lottery Form Submission Deadline: February 17th, 2017 at 4:00 pm
- Incoming Freshmen Lottery: February 24, 2017
- Incoming Freshman Placement Test Dates: April 2017
- Acceptance Letters: Late February/Early March 2017
- Transfer Student Applications Available: March 14, 2017
- Transfer Student Application Deadline: May 12, 2017
- Transfer Student Lottery: May 19, 2017
Applicants not accepted at the time of the lottery will be placed on a wait-list according to their assigned lottery number and admitted pending openings. Subsequent applicants will be wait-listed on a first-come, first-served basis. The wait-list will be posted after the lottery is conducted.
Lottery applications are available from Jan. 17th - Feb. 17th on campus or by clicking on the link below. The enrollment lottery for fall 2017 admission will be held on February 24, 2017 in the POLAHS MPR. After the lottery has taken place, your application/lottery number will be posted here along with the waitlist students. Please note that all applicants have the same chance of acceptance wether they are first or last to submit applications. Emailed applications are accepted, however, walk in applications are encouraged. All applications received after the deadline will be added to the end of the waitlist, after the lottery has taken place.

Results will be posted after the Transfer Student Lottery which takes place on May 19th 2017 here on campus. This lottery is only for students who are currently in high school and wish to transfer.
