Port of Los Angeles High School Students Honored:
Academic Recognition Ceremony
Port of Los Angeles High School (POLAHS) is committed to celebrating outstanding student achievement. On Wednesday, September 16, 2009, the POLAHS student body, faculty, staff and Board of Trustees gathered at the Warner Grand Theatre to celebrate the school's 2nd annual Academic Recognition Ceremony.
Approximately 1/3 of POLAHS' freshmen, sophomore, and junior students received awards in the categories of merit, attendance and service for their spring 2009 semester grades. 18 students received the Principal List of 4.0 Grade Point Average, 59 students received Honor Roll for 3.5 Grade Point Average, and 77 students received the Dean's List of 3.0 Grade Point Average.
The number of students awarded highlights a successful spring semester and continuing academic success.
