B= 89%-80%

C= 79%-70%

D= 69%-60%

F= 59% and below

Breakdown of points:

1. Weight room log (filled out everyday we are in the weight room)

a. students will complete a weight room log that is worth 5 points

                             b. students who are not dressed for P.E. will not be

allowed to workout, and therefore, receive a “0” out of 5 for the weight room portion of the class.

2. Daily Participation:  In order to earn a passing grade, you must attend class and participate regularly.  A participation grade of 5 points will be given for each class period. You MUST dress everyday that you come to class.

Show up and do the work.  Be respectful and have fun.  Students will be graded on attitude, dress, citizenship, skill improvement, effort, and comprehension.  Student's who fail to bring a doctor's note and therefore do not participate, will receive a zero for the day.  If a student is unable to visit their doctor and feels ill, a parent or guardian must call to inform Mr. Martinez, with a message left at the front desk.  A doctor's note will be accepted the following day, which will excuse the student's lack of participation the previous day.  No parent or guardian note will be accepted.  There must be a phone call with a message left, which will then excuse the student from participating.  Students will always participate, even if students forget to dress.

If there are students with any medical conditions, please let Mr. Martinez know ASAP, or make sure to bring a doctor's note to class.  It is the student's responsibility to bring inhalers, or any other medication to class if needed.

The following are some of the ways to lose participation points towards your grade.

  1. Non-dress:                   -2 points
