She has worked for the Port of Los Angeles for 20 years where she is an Environmental Specialist and is responsible for managing air and community projects; local, state, and federal grants; the Port’s Technology Advancement Program; and Clean Truck Program. Teresa was a substitute teacher (K-6th grade) for LAUSD for three years. She earned a Liberal Arts degree from Marymount College, Palos Verdes (1992) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Behavior from the University of San Francisco (1994).
Teresa is a native of San Pedro where she resides with her husband, Chris, and their blended family of five children, three dogs, and a cat. Her children James Scognamillo (Class of 2015), Julia Scognamillo (Class of 2017), and Luke Scognamillo (Class of 2019) have attended POLAHS.
