Pixels Gallery Grand Opening
On September 2nd, POLAHS introduced its first off-site venture: Pixels. The digital photography space will be used as a workshop and gallery for student art displayed at the San Pedro First Thursday Art Walk, which takes place monthly. The Pixels lease, photography equipment, and capital improvements are funded through a California Community College District “K12 Strong Workforce Program” grant. Pixels is located in the former Parkhurst Gallery on 6th Street in San Pedro.
The Pixels ribbon cutting was held in partnership with the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce. Guests enjoyed music by POLAHS alum Rudy Rios, and viewed a special exhibit featuring the work of Michele Lee and Paige Dillihunt in Iceland.
