Dr. Alva Perry
Trustee/Curriculum Committee Chair
Dr. Alva Perry joined the Board of Trustees on September 11, 2019.
Dr. Perry is a Literacy Education Consultant for an Edtech company serving schools throughout Los Angeles and Orange County. Prior, she served as an assistant principal for seven years. She has twenty years of experience in education. She has held positions as BTSA (Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment) Provider, literacy coach and RTI (Response to Intervention) Specialist and curriculum specialist in Los Angeles, California.
She holds a California administrative credential and a K-8 Clear professional teaching credential. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in public administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills; her Master’s of Arts Degree in teaching curriculum from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and her Doctorate of Education in educational leadership from Argosy University.
Dr. Perry has served on district and county committees. She enjoys opportunities to serve and educate children and their families and commits to providing educational opportunities and advocacy for the underserved and overlooked.
