You may have read our story about Valerie, the POLAHS senior who received funds from an anonymous sponsor to participate in the 2012 Tall Ship Summer Sail program. Our generous friends at the John Gogian Family Foundation read about it too… They were impressed and inspired. POLAHS was selected to receive their Community Grant in the amount of $2,500 - to be used toward the sponsorship of a student for the Tall Ship program in summer 2013. This means that next year POLAHS will be able to send TWO deserving students on the study aboard sail of a lifetime.
In addition, the Foundation has committed to offering one POLAHS senior a $16,000 college scholarship (payable over four years) for the second year in a row. We are humbled by all the GOODNESS that is coming our way, and on behalf of our students, we THANK the John Gogian Family Foundation.
