Prospective 9th Grade Students

Below is the link for the POLAHS lottery application powered by School Mint. Once you click on the link, please select "create an account" section to get started.

All prospective 9th grade students must complete an online Lottery Form during the application period (October 5, 2024 - January 31,2025) to be eligible for admission. Students who submit applications after the deadline will be added to the wait-list. No other information will be requested until students are officially accepted.

 

A lottery may be conducted if the number of completed Lottery Forms received exceeds the number of openings available. Applicants not accepted at the time of the lottery will be placed on a wait-list according to their assigned placement in the lottery and admitted pending openings.

 

Important 9th Grade Enrollment Dates and Deadlines for the 2025-2026 School Year
  • Open House: October 5, 2024 at 10 am - 12 pm
  • Online Lottery Form Available: October 5, 2024
  • Lottery Form Submission Deadline: January 31, 2025 
  • Student Lottery: February 6, 2025
  • Acceptance Letters: February 7 - February 21, 2025
  • Registration: February 24 - March 10, 2025
  • Incoming Freshman Placement Test Dates: March/April

POLAHS admits transfer students based year round through a lottery system. Students interested in transferring to POLAHS must apply through SchoolMint (link above) in order to enter the transfer student lottery for their specific grade level. The purpose of the transfer lottery is to make up the order of the wait-list, which we will then use to fill spots once available. For more information, contact the Admissions office at 310-832-9201 Ext. 213.
