Mark C. Martis is the Chief Operating Officer and a founding partner of Imperial Capital Group, LLC, a financial services holding company with various operating affiliates which include Imperial Capital, LLC, a U.S. registered broker-dealer with approximately 250 employees with offices in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Boston, and Chicago, and Imperial Capital (International), LLP, a U.K. broker-dealer headquartered in London. Through these broker-dealer affiliates, Imperial provides sophisticated investment research, investment banking, restructuring advisory and sales and trading services to approximately 1,600 institutional investors throughout the United States and Europe. Additionally, Imperial Capital Group provides investment advisory services through its wholly owned subsidiary Imperial Capital Asset Management, LLC, a registered investment advisor. Imperial Capital Asset Management manages various investment partnerships and a private equity fund. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the businesses, Mark is a member of the firm's three member Executive Committee and sits on various internal risk, underwriting and valuation/fairness opinion committees. Mark has been associated with Imperial Capital Group since 1994.
Prior to Imperial Capital Group, Mark was audit manager for Deloitte & Touche. As audit manager for Deloitte's Los Angeles office, Mark provided audit services to many Southern California based broker-dealers, investment advisors, banks and other financial institutions.
Mark was a founding member of St. James School Education Foundation, a supporting organization to St. James School, a Catholic elementary school located in Torrance. Mark served on its Executive Board for several years and was instrumental in the establishment and formation of the Foundation.
